A Side Order of Angels
A Side Order of Angels AIMEE CLAIRE'S BIO: Growing up the youngest of three girls, I was a natural storyteller who learned early on the power my charm had. By two years old I had named my stuffed monkey 'Metabolism' and proudly shared the story of his naming to all that I met for the sole purpose of seeing adults speechless. Although it has always been my passion, writing was not my major in college. From the age of ten on I was determined to learn Sign Language after reading about Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan. I had never met a deaf person but resolved to learn more. I taught myself Sign Language from library books and soon realized that I had no one to talk to with it. Thus, I took on the responsibility to teach my fourth grade class some Sign Language. Years later in college I officially majored in Sign Language Interpreting and went on to work in several schools for the deaf. t mobile ukI married a wonderful man at age twenty and started motherhood soon after. We now have three delightful girls and live in Chicago. Three years ago I turned my passion for writing into a career. Many of my articles appear regularly in e-zines as well as print magazines. In 1999 one of my stories placed third in OSC's Warm and Fuzzy contest. Shortly there after I began writing my inspiring A Side Order of Angels column for OSC. Having always been blessed with feeling angelic touches in my life, I look forward to sharing my humorous and spiritual stories with all of you. But don't worry, I might go off on a tangent, and charm you with my Metabolism story somewhere down the line! Buckle up for the adventure, and if I can recommend to you something from the menu of life, it would definitely be A Side Order of Angels! |
